Description

This route is found along the trail, about 10-15 minutes after leaving the dirt road. There are slabs just east of a steep SE facing wall. These slabs have 4 lines with fixed protection on them. The main slab has 3 fixed lines, and this climbs the dihedral left of these lines for the entire slab, traversing a bit right at the end to climb the roof through a weakness. Initially, we thought this was Walking the Duck, however Walking the Duck is actually 10 feet east of the dihedral. The route is not difficult to climb or protect, with some slabby sections where the crack helps and other areas, that you really don't need the crack. The rock is rather good, and the climbing varied (layback, slab, couple of hand and fist jams).

Protection

Large gear down low, andit thins out to small to medium gear up top. #1 camalot protects the exit move very well. There is a 1 bolt 1 bush anchor. Two ropes for the rappel or 1 60-meter rope and some downclimbing.

Not an FA, but a fun climb regardless. Exit moves are thought provoking. Don't miss the exciting roue nearby Duck A'Lorange. An old school slabby classic!
