Description

On the slab above Via Duck are 2 bolted routes. This is the right one. Fun moves up the slab get you to a large ledge. If linked with Via Duck it gains 2 stars.

3 draws--maybe 4 (Sorry) and 2 more for the chains.

I love what the Ruckmans had to say about Why a Duck? "a good question"

It's a shame that the Grebe area was grid bolted out. IMO anytime a granite slab has routes 6 feet or less apart its a total SQUEEZE. I hate climbing a nice aesthetic face only to look around to find a sea of bolts. When you can pick your way from bolted route to bolted route without serious fall potenial on granite it's too close IMO.
