Description 

This north-facing limestone wall keeps cool in the wind. Seclusion is guaranteed by the long and steep approach. The rock is sharp and compact, but dirty and flaky in a few spots. Vegetation makes the climbing interesting in places. There is plenty of exposure, you have to learn to trust your feet. Bring tape for your fingers and a helmet, there is some rock fall potential here.
(My buddy and I call this area "Rocket Reef" because it isn't far from the Reef and two of the named routes contain the word "rocket". I don't know who the FA is/are and what they called this place.)

Getting There 

Take I-215 to 3300 South. Drive north on Wasatch Blvd to Warr Rd. Turn east and then north onto Cascade Way. There is a gate at the end of the asphalt. Please be respectful of homeowners when parking. Hike up the dirt road on the other side of the gate. The road turns and climbs to the east, then levels out and turns to the south. Pass a birdhouse and you'll see the top of the Quarry behind a steep embankment. Do yourself a favor and use the swichback to the south. Do not enter the quartzite box canyon. Instead, follow the fork in the trail that winds up the ridge. Pass the Reef (the lowest limestone outcrop on the ridge) and follow the trail towards the big slab that leans to the south. You can bushwack through the scrub oak, but it is easier to follow the trail which switches back to the base of the wall, avoiding the brush. Plan on 35 minutes of hiking.
