Many Goldenfingers climbers have witnessed the squirrels using this gulley for travel to and from the rim to the forest floor.
Soloed many times before.
If you like dirty chimneys you'll love this lil' beauty. Lots of crystals make for some fun moves when your not climbing in the back of this dirty gash.
Location
This is the chimney/gulley to the right of The Stone they Rejected. Crystals abound on this gash. Descent from bolted anchor at top.
Protection
Top-rope. I would imagine a standard rack would suffice for a lead. Fergs spider stick.
The squirrel that did the first ascent wishes to remain anonymous so as to avoid ego issues and a negative public perception. He does seem pissed about people claiming FA's of routes that he did first. Very bitter about Gary Olsen, but WOW you should hear him diss on TP and Tea ,freakin' hates those guys. Said, " they are nothin' but talentless ego driven bitches."
Not totally sure, but according to the Ellison/Smoot "Wasatch Rock Climbs" This climb is called "Otherworld" 5.4, first ascent unknown. I wish you could change this to a 5.4 instead of 5.3, because it would help my 8a.nu rating... Thanks...
I like the name Squirrel Highway... Sorry... Thanks for the rating change though. I think that moves my rating up to like the 69,069th best climber in the world! YES!!!
