Gravy Train starts in a crack system behind the pi...

Description

An exciting roof pull provides a fine crux for a great moderate route. Plenty of protection opportunities and consistent climbing for the grade. Good rock with just a little looseness in spots. My wife loved this route! Start in the wide crack that meanders to the ridge's arete. Climb the ridge to a roof and then climb around to the right or left side of the summit block. Set up a gear belay on the west side of the summit block and walk off to the west when finished.

Location

Take the left fork in the trail coming up the talus gully to the Upper S-Curve. Once the trail turns into a flat section of dirt, head up into a small alcove through some small trees. Find the wide crack and belay. Walk off to the west.

Protection

Standard rack and some runners to reduce rope drag. No fixed protection...gear belay on the west side of the ridge top.
