Description

Lone Rock is located at the end of the driving on the Mexican Mountain Road. The West Face and Owl's Eyes (East side) are both listed in the Bjornstad Desert Rock "blue" book. This is some of the better tower sandstone found in the Swell and camping is usually done at a pull out just before the maintained road's end with Lone Rock's South Face in full view.

Getting There

Drive to the the North end of the Mexican Mountain Road. Study the south flank where a break in the cliff bands allow access to the base of the tower. Plan for about a one hour approach time.
