Description 

Many interesting canyons in this area, and new route potentional. Very secluded.


Getting There 

Two approaches.

One from Highway 6 (near Green River as follows: from I-70 drive north on Highway 6 for 4.5 miles to a turn off on the left next to an electrical substation. Drive 2.6 miles to a signed T junction. Turn right (north)here (trail Spring), and follow this road for 2.7 miles to the Smith Cabin. Backtrack 400 yards to a small road leading south. Follow this keeping left at .5 miles and left again at 1.3 miles. This is a high clearance road. Drive a total of 3.7 miles to a flat parking area 50 yards on the right with a small BLM sign.

Approach from I-70 at the Hanksville Exit. Take this exit heading west from Green River on I-70. From the exit turn right on the good dirt road signed County Road. Follow this and at 4.8 miles keep left, at 7.1 miles go left, at 8.0 miles keep left, at 8.2 miles keep left, and at 9.4 straight on. Arrive at the Smith Cabin area at a total of 11.5 miles. Follow the above directions from Smith Cabin.
