A group of spires NW of The Weasel Formation on the north side of Cane Wash. We named the area Dead Mans Spires as a route and a couple of attemted old routes were found on these spires. As these climbers are unknown we are assuming they have passed on !!!
Getting There
Dead Mans Spires lie about 3/4 miles NW of The Weasel formation, They are several spires in this area ,one,other than Resurrection Spire has a route on it,put up possible in the 80's? Also a couple of failed attemts have been found.From the San Rafeal River bridge drive South for about 2.2 miles to a right turn (Cattle Guard)on Oil Flat Rd. Go 1.0 mile to a Y junction ,take right fork. Go 1.6 miles to another Y junction ,take right fork(Mexican Sweeps Rd)follow this for 3.7 miles to Cane wash. Turn left up Cane wash for 3 miles to a small wash on the right below the towers . Drive up this to camp sites....Recommend 4x4 ..

Resurrection Spire.300' III 5.9. C1. This spire is on the left end (west) of the large spires above the camp site. The central spire also has a route on its north side . It looks a very good line ,probably done in the 80s by as yet unknown climbers. . There are several approches ,the easiest is by a stone shoot below and right of the three smaller spire formation.
