Description 

To get to Monster Tower, see the approach for Washer Woman. Monster Tower is the one without the arch. Standing about 100 feet taller than the neighboring tower, Monster offers a great view of the Island in the Sky area.

There are two main routes up the tower. The Kor Route, which is by my account a chossy, loose pile of a route, and North Ridge, which by all accounts I have heard has quite good rock, albeit technically harder grades.

My advice, after slogging up the Kor Route, would be to try the North Ridge and aid if necessary. The consistency and quality probably have a lot to do with the predominant direction of the wind. The North Ridge is on the side that gets weathered and seems clean (similar to Washer Woman in rock quality) while the Kor Route seems to gather all the dust, sand and choss that blows off the North Ridge.

North Ridge 5.11  UT : Moab Area : Monster Tower

Approach: Park to the SW of the towers, right before the wash where the road turns back to the left (or southeast)... same as for Washer Woman. Park on the road, but pull off the side as far as possible. Park Rangers issued us a warning about parking off the road. Parking here gives you a view of the western sides of these towers.
