Description

Climb up a chimney , then up free and aid to the summit. I believe this route has gone free. It's a cool tower in a beautiful secluded area.

Location

Hike about 1 mile up Day canyon (The first canyon before Long Canyon off the Potash road. You'll see it;... up the hill in front of a large canyon wall.

Protection

Cams, stuff.

I did this climb in April of 1990 with Cyndie Bransford. We had fun. Desert Towers are cool, and this one is a beautiful spire in a really deluxe setting. This climb, I believe goes free, but we aided sections of it because we are light and don't know how to party. The climbing isn't anything to write home about;...but the whole trip and experience is wonderful. The Raptor Tower (to the left) is really cool looking;..with a disturbing yet exciting-looking climb on it (Which I haven't done;...I think it's called the Prohibition Crack I 5.11+, 3 pitches...Keith Reynold's climb...). Day Canyon is a really beautiful place to hike or climb.
