I was pretty sure most every feature in our planned route from here was loose and hollow/ detatched (for atleast our next pitch or 2)so I made the call to bail. Maybe I was wrong but I was a bit nervous as Eric was blowing the crack out by jamming his foot in it. Not to mention there was already 1 large (atleast 1 cubic foot) block trundled once I arrived at the belay. Not to mention countless other small ones (mostly knocked down by the rope and blown out holds) while I belayed helmetless(stupid). I was mostly worried that we would bring a house of cards down on ourselves, or that we could sketch past alot of bad news but who knew if the rock above would support an anchor; even though we had a 18V hammer drill, and 12 3/8x 3 1/2" inch bolts. Sketchy, it seemed like climbing up a sugar cookie. I only climbed the rope and I was still wiggin out(BTW as I jugged there was already a substantial groove wearing into the rock at one point, I would say 1/2 the diameter of the rope).

Definitely give the area another go. Texas Tower was sweet.
