BETA PHOTO: Straight up the arete, past 7 bolts, then right to...

Description

My favorite climb at Maple Canyon (so far). This route never lets up, and blesses you with nearly every Maple Canyon feature imaginable. A variety of techniques and a whole lot of endurance will get you to the top of the arete. None of the guides I've seen have a name or FA information for this route.

Location

Between the Engagement Alcove and Petroglyph Wall, a large flake/boulder sits to the right of an arete. Climb straight up the arete. Rappel off the chain anchors.

Protection

7 bolts to 2 chain anchors.

Sweet route! It gets pretty thin in a couple of spots, but stays pretty sustained. It's what 10a should be.

I had a great time on this route from start to finish. Don't forget to use the arete where you can when it gets thin. The holds are all there.
