CCC Falls, 1st pitch.

Description

A series of steps leads to several bolted anchors. Above is a curtain (crux). You can walk-off via the CCC trail.

This is a great area for beginners.

Location

Park at the reservoir right across the road from the CCC trail (there is prominent trailhead sign). Follow the trail up the stream to the falls. You can't miss it. In fact, if you drive north on the road a bit, you can see the ice from the road.

Protection

screws. bolted anchors.

Curtain pitch ain't WI 2.

I'd call the main lower pitch WI 3. I think WI 2 is generally something most folks climb with only one tool.

Upper curtain pitch seems to range in difficulty from WI 4 to 5.
