The adventure Route marked in red.

Description

This is a really cool arete. The crux is a slabby move with devious holds, but a spectacular position!

Location

This starts on the 2nd tier of the rappel wall. Hike up the lower tier on the right. The used to be a fixed handline to help bring you up the eroded gully. The start faces west.

I'm so glad someone added this route. Kudos, TP in SLC.

The climb can be intimidating - an incline with sheer drop-offs on both sides - but the view is absolutely incredible. If ever there is a time to ignore the advice "don't look down," it is on this climb.

Someone has stolen the first several bolts (not sure how many), making it unclimbable as a sport route. Whoever took them needs to replace them. If someone has the equipment to rebolt it contact me. I am willing to pay for the new bolts. Its a shame that people can be such jerks.

Only the first bolt is missing from the route making the first bolt 15' up from where the route starts, but 30' from the deck on the west side of the climb. Stay on the East aspect of the arete and you'll be fine. Super fun route!

Has anyone checked out the upper arete? Maybe too chalky or holdless but what a line!

I believe there is a route up there Steve. Todd Goss? bolted it, it checks in around 5.11d if memory serves correct.

I bolted that arete. Big 1/2" bolts so enjoy!
