Spring time Peregrine closures (it lasts until the end summer) MORE INFO >>>
The Burr Trail is the only place I've encountered Peregrine closuers around Escalante. We also ran into a not so friendly "climbing" ranger who actually got off his duff to hike out to tell us that we couldn't climb where we were. He "pointed" out a nest that none of us could see, down the canyon 500+yards, even with binoculars. I say this because he HATED the idea of Longs canyon becoming a "Moab" (and even said so). Don't worry buddy, the rock here is not nearly as good..;)

Description
The crux come at 3/4 height, it involves leaving the crack and going hand traversing. On the FA I pounded a #2 angle in at the crux, I went back 2 years later and pulled it out with my finger (it even had a bail biner on it!!) Now a nice TCU fits in there. Its a GREAT "just got here, need to warm up" route.
Location
When you are driving down the Burr Trail there is a large obvious slot canyon on its West side (only one), just across the road are these crack systems.Flipper Babies is the left hand crack of the two similar looking side by side crack systems. Take 10 steps from you car.
Protection
#1 metolius to #3 camalot, maybe a sling. Replacement slings for the anchor might be nice.
