Upper Rock Creek Drainage
A beautiful but rugged drainage with lots of potential for multi-pitch alpine routes. Along with a really nice 90ft Ice route.
Follow the directions on the Portnuef range description. The hike up the drainage is rouphly 2.7 miles with no trail. Just use common sense with your route finding, stay out the gut of the drainage and contour as much as possible. Use the travel maps provided and you won't have any problem locating the routes.

Descent: A fir tree at the top of the route has slings on it for rappell, if using 60m rap to the bottom. If using a 30m use the rock thumb half way down on the climbers right for the second rappell.Gear:30m rope can be used to climb the route in one pitch.
