Ulnar Nerve Issues and taping question

Hello,

Iv been battling Neuritis in my Ulnar nerve for around 6 weeks now. Iv been off climbing for that time and was wondering if there was anyway to support my ring finger and pinky finger with tape when I go back climbing. My issue seems to stem from hanging or crimping with the use of those two fingers and am hoping something can help me out. The point goes back to my elbow and into my armpit from the nerve. I have consulted an orthop. surgeon already and am just looking for taping advice. OR if anyone has had this injury of their Ulnar nerve and what they did to help it move along.

Anything help is appreciated, Thanks

For what it's worth I had pain from Ulnar neuritis. Doctors said surgery. I rested for a few months. Pain has been gone for a few years.

He isnt pointing toward surgery just yet. I was told come back in a month if I am still having pain and so far after two weeks I think I'm getting better, the issue with nerve issues is it's difficult to say, "yes... it is finally 100% again."
Been sitting out for 5 weeks and saw my Doc two weeks ago for a diagnosis.

Are you confident in neuritis diagnosis? Suggest you contact a top-tier, sports-massage therapist for bodywork. Perhaps the nerve is entrapped. An MT liberated my UN in one visit...difference was night and day.

I am relatively confident my nerve is not entrapped

I had surgery a bit over a year ago with really good results. The finger issues went beyond pain to numbness and dropping things..
taping never did much, maybe mine was a bit beyond that

I dont have any numbness or loss of function in my two fingers. It mainly comes from random aching events in my elbow and up into my arm. Im just looking for taping techniques to help stabilize my two fingers when I do start climbing again. I believe Im over the hump on the road to recovering

I suggest reading Dave MacLeod's great book "Make or Break" for unexpected strategy about taping (and lots of other things).

Just ordered one, thanks for the suggestion

I had my ulnar nerve, artery repaired at the wrist. I had a mirrors fall on my wrist. Just had my second surgery. Pip joint release on pinky and A pulley release on ring finger. I've been complaining to my doctor for weeks now that my wrist is killing me. That the burning, tingling and numbness has gotten worse. It really flairs up whenever I put any pressure on my hand. I want to know the success rate of my surgery and will the pain cease?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
