Description

An excellent outing for the grade, offering up some grade A overhanging enduro climbing. Really fun movement and great holds.

Location

First route left of the beautiful arete (Evergreen Arete) that divides the east and north faces of the Cube. Features two closely spaced bolts down low, the first one being within arm's reach when standing on the ground.

Protection

Six bolts, 2 bolt anchor on top.

Every area is different, if you tried to normalize grades globally it might be 12c. When you look at the other routes on the Cube though and then expand that to the rest of Bozeman this fits nicely at 12a.

Sandbagging is just ingrained in the culture here unlike say Ten Sleep or Joe's Valley where everyone agrees the grades are a little soft.

Hey gordwah.... if you're going to give a route a bomb rating, at least make a comment or two regarding why the route is so awful! Otherwise it looks like you just got your feelings hurt because the route was harder than you though it would be.

For what it's worth, I felt the route was spot-on at 12a, even on par with the grade at other areas (Tensleep, Lander, Natural Bridge, etc...)
