Twitch Rock is a small formation just below Highwire Crag that contains two routes; Twitch (5.12d) and an unknown project. Here you'll find a nice vantage point of Highwire Crag and The River Wall. The rock is solid and gently overhanging with some excellent shade provided by a nearby tree.

Getting There

Park at the large pullout before tunnel two, right across from the New River Formation. Walk along the road, cross the bridge, and head down and right as if you're going to Highlander or Sonic Youth. At about 100 yards, you'll have a trail option to take a direct left, heading up a steep hillside. You should be able to see Twitch, on a gently overhanging rock behind a large tree. From your car, this only takes 5-10 minutes.

Prowler 5.14a 8b+ 32 X+ 32 E8 7a  CO : Golden : ... : Twitch Rock
Prowler rides the blunt buttress of black schist that forms the left edge of the cresting wave of Twitch Rock. With athletic, gym-style slaps between large slopers, prolific shade, and a trivial approach, this line has the potential to become the most popular 5.14 in Clear Creek Canyon. The route lacks the fingery crimps or stopper cruxes of many of the canyon's other hard lines, making this a great choice for a first 5.14 project. While the rock quality is not ideal, the line boasts sneaky g...[more]   Browse More Classics in CO

Has anyone done the route that starts on Twitch then heads right around the 3rd bolt towards the Prowler anchor?

Luke Childers bolted the link up from Twitch to Prowler, it's an open project. Have fun!

Not sure about that one, I thought it was a 5.12 that's been done before but probably not in a long long time. Then again the description on this page says it's a project, so who knows....

The route right of the Prowler goes at 12b/c, and I believe Piz has the FA.
