That's pretty vague and broad, so here are two equally vague and broad answers.

Perhaps if you do some research and then have specific questions.....

You might want to think about the St. George area. I have not climbed there, but it should be a good 10 - 15 degrees cooler than Vegas.

108F in 15% RH can be breathtakingly different than 90 and humid at sea level.

You realize that the desert southwest has already had 10 deaths from heat this year so far, right?

No, just setting realistic expectations.

Dude, do what you want. I really don't give two shits.

What's your problem with people just letting you know what you might encounter? Your earlier post where you wrote:

"I live in the Caribbean so I'm ok with heat I climb all year around on 80 to 90 so I can handle it,..."

...is just so full of spray and bravado that maybe you don't quite know what desert heat can be like.

And no, not golf - hiking. You know, it's sorta like climbing, but not so steep.

yeah... I thought too. Was used to 90 to 100 in the summer, so I figured the desert heat wouldn't be that bad.

It was that bad.

And worse.

Its a dry heat though?

Walter, If I were able I'd give it a go with you.

Evidently Marc hasn't gotten laid in a while.

"It ain't the heat, it's the humidity!"....specifically the lack of it. You sweat but the sweat evaporates so fast you don't realize how dehydrated you're getting. Just don't underestimate it, and like never climb in the sun at RR in that kind of heat. Get Beta from the locals ("Desert Rock Sports" is a good shop, on Charleson Blvd., I suspect there's others) on "what's in the shade and when." Then pick your climb and time, hike in, drink plenty of liquids and sit in the shade until the climb goes into the shade.

Charleston is cooler, and easier to find shade, but just as low humidity. Nobody mentioned that it's a bit higher than RR. Recollection is bases of the climbing areas on Charleston are about 7000 ft, but I may off a bit on that...point is there can be some altitude effect for those of us accustomed to "sea level".

I got u, very good info, i love to go with locals so they know wath and when. I climb this morning on about 85F with 80 x cent umidity ,I tell you, I was dripping sweat, so for me will be surprising having to climb with the same temp without sweating.... Cheers
