Has anyone here done it? The only decent info I've seen on it is in 'High Seirra: Peaks Passes & Trails.' I'd be curious to hear how quality the route is (I know the approach is a pain) and how old school the 5.9 rating is.

I'm sure it is. Climbing Tehipite Dome is a dream of mine. Time Warp seems like the easiest way. I doubt I'm up to it right now, but if I could find a partner I'd give the old college try. Last July I did the long, boring as hell hike out to Tehipite Valley and the bug to climb Tehipite Dome just got worse. Anyone wanna team up with me?
