Description Suggest change

The bottom of this pillar is often under water, at least partially.

Getting There Suggest change

Walk or wade out. Typically there is a log pile-up on the upstream face that can be used to access routes on the upstream side when the river level is less than 6' at the Westham Gauge. The downstream face has a built-up ledge that is above water when the river is below about 5' at the Westham Gauge. The walk out to the ledge tends to be "feet-wet" until about 4' on the Westham Gauge, at which point it's possible to rock-hop. Once you've lead one route on the pillar it's possible to lower and top-rope the other routes from anchors above. Be mindful of the age and condition of various hardware you find, this column was only minimally re-bolted.
