Description Suggest change

The Zawn is the U-shaped area closest to the prison. Because of its shape, you can chase sun, or shade, for much of the day. Many of the routes can seep for a few days after rain, and there is often a light waterfall in the back of the zawn. The upper portions of the cliff are not stable, so rockfall is a possibility.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: following the typhoon 10 in fall 2017, the pebble beach was completely washed out to sea, rendering most of the Zawn inaccessible. In a short span of time, the beach naturally rebuilt itself. In September 2018, the 10+ super typhoon washed away the beach a second time, and also destroyed the WWII era pillboxes by the Bunker Wall.

Getting There Suggest change

From the bunkers at the base of the stairs, walk to your right, heading toward the outer edge of the Zawn. There is a metal rung ladder leading you to the bottom. You can also rap in and climb out.
