Description
The Zawn is the U-shaped area closest to the prison. Because of its shape, you can chase sun, or shade, for much of the day. Many of the routes can seep for a few days after rain, and there is often a light waterfall in the back of the zawn. The upper portions of the cliff are not stable, so rockfall is a possibility.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: following the typhoon 10 in fall 2017, the pebble beach was completely washed out to sea, rendering most of the Zawn inaccessible. In a short span of time, the beach naturally rebuilt itself. In September 2018, the 10+ super typhoon washed away the beach a second time, and also destroyed the WWII era pillboxes by the Bunker Wall.
