Description Suggest change

This is a nice, sunny spot a few minutes west of the summit. To my knowledge it was discovered in late 2007, after the Witch Creek fire stripped the hillside of its characteristically dense undergrowth.

There are a number of problems in the area, most notably a classic splitter finger crack.

Getting There Suggest change

2 1/2 miles from the Lake Poway trailhead. It's a pretty hike and not on asphalt, but the bouldering options are limited in quantity and quality.

Approaching from the east side is roughly the same distance, and obviously you can do other classics on the way there or back. It's about 5 minutes west of the Ogre.

Either way, at a trail sign indicating 2 miles from Lake Poway, head south and almost immediately pick up a drainage heading down and right. After 50 yards or so you'll see the backside of the Yoav Crack (an 8' hand crack) ahead on your left.
