DescriptionThe Winchester Cave area is marked by a small cave with several nice lines coming out of it. On the left is a beautiful, vertical wall with at least one terrific route. Numbering, again, follows Hassan Saab's guide with Ricochet on the left as #1. Getting TherePark at the picnic area downstream from the Ruckman Cave. Cross the stream and continue hiking downstream to the second, short access trail to the cliff base. There is a bit of talus below the main wall, a cave, and a short slope on the left where the routes begin. Ricochet. This must be one of my favorite climbs at Rifle and is a brilliant addition that gives even gumbies like myself something to climb. A bit uphill from the cave proper and on the left is a vertical wall with grey to blue stone. The left of two routes is Ricochet (Noto bene: the FA data were incorrectly attributed in Hassan's guide.
