DescriptionSomewhat difficult to find, the Summit is a collection of boulders found on the summit of a hill / ridge. Despite the search that must be undertaken by newcomers to this area, many find the problems well worth it. Getting ThereWalk up the dirt road to the lookout tower from Boulder Basin Campground. The road is found near the entrance to the campgrounds. Walk about 50' past the trail to the Rounded Boulders (first large switchback in the road) to walk off the road and up a hill. Continue to walk uphill and slightly left for about 5 to 10 minutes (depdnding on whether you left the road in the correct location) to come to the Summit area boulders. If you start going downhill you probably went to far (or perhaps didn't veer left enough...).
