The Splinter, with the West Chimney route visible ...


This slender, semi-detached tower of Bighorn Dolomite is tucked inconspicuously against the neighboring cliff, and only really stands out as you near it on the Beef Trail. Although the notch separating the summit pinnacle is only about 25', this tower provides a fun moderate outing on good rock and a cool summit.

P1-The tight chimney of good rock on the down-canyon side of the spire. Wriggle up this past 4-5 chockstones (bring several double or triple-length runners).
