BETA PHOTO: The Needle.
The Needle is a 200 foot tall formation just below Stump Buttress. There are three routes. A 5.7, a 5.8 and a 10+, all high in quality.
Follow the approach for Hole in the Wall. Walk down canyon and until the obvious, 300 foot cliff is apparent on the right (Stump Buttress). Start hiking up the talus field towards this formation. The Needle is hard to see from the valley floor, but once you're a little ways up the tauls field, it's quite obvious.... It's just below the Stump Buttress formation.

Otherwise, start on the southeast side of The Needle at the base of a right-leaning finger and hand crack.P1: Climb the crack until it ends. Step right onto the face where good pro is found to the rap anchor. Belay here.P2: Start up the right-facing corner, then move left on to the face to the summit.Rap the route....[more] Browse More Classics in CO
