Description Much better then it looks! With lots of interesting climbing throughout its length. Climb up the engaging corner and make a rising traverse rightward, with a crux near the finish. This route had been left unfinished (2 bolt anchor and 2 bolts on the top of the route) until 7/3/07 when Chris Goplerud and I added the three lower bolts to finish equipping the line. The original equipper of the route's upper portion unnecessarily enhanced a hold near the top of the route--lame. Without using the enhanced grip, the route is perhaps a letter harder. Stays dry in the rain, and is shaded all day.
Location This is the farthest right sport route on the crag. It tackles an obvious, right-facing corner below a giant roof.
Protection 5 bolts to a 2 bolt anchor.

| This is a great route! Despite its short length, it's full-on from the first bolt until you grab the jug above the last bolt. I also feel this route is very hard for 12b. I hesitate to call it 12c, because I don't have a lot of experience at that grade yet, but it certainly feels a lot harder than any of the other Indy Pass 12b's I've done. Either way - this is an awesome route that's worth the 5 minute walk from Grotto Wall to do! |
