  • Description

This 10 foot high boulder is some weird kind of granite/quartzite (Geologists??) and has some fun problems. Some of the holds are sharp and all the problems are standing starts.

Again, it may or may not lie on private property. Just climb it and be respectful.

    Bring a brush!!!

    Getting There

For the Lonely boulder, head to the North (right as you come in) on an obvious trail. The boulder will be up and to the left after about 100 yards of hiking in (boulder is about 25 yards off the trail).

Same start as the Lonliest Climber in Mankato, and traverse all the way left. There is a large reddish brown spot on the far left side of the rock. As soon as the spot is directly to your left, make your way up to the top of the boulder. It is bunch of small crimps the whole way over and up...[more]   Browse More Classics in MN
