BETA PHOTO: The ledge system at the Heights

Description

This area is tucked away, obscure and faces north. However, it has a couple of fantastic roof problems. Most notable is Sugar High, one of the best V2 problems in the area.

The problems are located on a protruding ledge at the base of a short cliff. You can top out, then walk off the ledge to start over. So technically, these problems are not on any kind of boulder, but they climb like they do.

All the problems climb out the roof under the ledge.

Getting There

Park near Tunnel Ridge Road on highway 15. Walk back north along 15 until you see a two story structure that used to be a store. Drop down the hill on the opposite side and stay to the right until you see a cliff band. You can't miss the bouldering area.

Used the directions given to find the Heights. This place is virtually untapped. There is a lot of potential. If it is a rainy day or just kinda crappy out the Heights provides almost perfect protection from the elements. I wasn't able to do any of the established routes there but me and some buddies set up a couples new routes. I will be puttin up some pics of the area and how to get there soon. If you like adventure bouldering this place has A LOT of potential!
