  • Description

This incredibly steep and unique route is a contender for one of the best sport routes in the High Country, and is perhaps the longest steep sport route in NC. Climb The 8th Sin for 4 bolts, then head right when the bolt lines split. Power your way out the awesome and cruxy sloping ramp. Clip the draw/chain combo then engage a tricky rightward traverse. Mantle into a pod below a roof and don't blow it on the crimps below the anchors. Are we still in Carolina?

    Location

Just left of Tiers of Satan. Shares first 4 bolts with The 8th Sin.

This route is super fun. You take BIG whips onto bomber bolts, mostly with fixed draws. It's very steep and climbs a proud line out the tallest part of the cave. More than just "good for NC", this would be a classic at any steep sport area. All this with the best backdrop of any climbing area in the High Country, the incredible NC Wall!
