The Cornerstones, The Cemetery

Description

Sitting high on a west-facing hillside with a commanding view of the surrounding area is this collection of huge boulders and free-standing pillars.

Home to a dozen or so routes from 5.10a and harder the better lines tend to be in the upper grades with Chesterfield King (5.11a), Grave Robber (5.12c) and SST (5.13a) the standout routes to do here.

Getting There

Approach by heading uphill from The Tombstones or heading uphill past the Brown Corridor and traversing the hillside. Either way involves a bit of boulder hopping and uneven terrain. Plan on 15 to 20 minutes from the parking area.

Are you sure this isn't part of the Sunset Cliffs?

The Cornerstones and Sunset Cliffs are indeed two separate areas.
