Free Range follows the thin crack system directly under a huge wedged block on the west side of the Coop.Belay at the base of the formation to the right of the climb. Start by scrambling up 20 feet up 4th class terrain to the base of the route. Clip two bolts to gain the intermittent crack system. When you are at the top of this tower, watch out for bees. I had a bee sting my right in the forehead. There is a hive in a different tower at the same height (just slightly south and uphill) and bees like to go to places in straight lines, so you may end up being in the line of fire.

No bees yesterday while Hanna and I spent a lovely and peaceful afternoon on this most excellent formation. Had forgotten how much I loved LDE and the new route in from the east is a fun way to get here. Cold out of the sun, though!
