This tall, featured face is frequently swarmed by climbers who want to warm up or challenge themselves on the fun problems. At times, pads will cover the landing zone from one end of the boulder to the other and can resemble a traffic jam. The stream-side of the boulder holds two challenging aretes and a desperate sit-start linkup, while the steeper back of the boulder has some good entry level moderates.

Getting There

Just north of the Zoo. Look for the tall face with a flake in the middle of it.

Splendid V0 4  NH : *Pawtuckaway : ... : The Buttermilk Boulder
Climb the easy face to the left of the tree, there are good feet(an obscurity to P-way) and good hands. Its fun but over quick. There is no defined crux, if I had to pick one it would be the first move establishing yourself on the boulder. This problem is fun but not a classic by any means.A sit start would bump the grade up a bit.Descend this climb to get down....[more]   Browse More Classics in NH
