DescriptionThis is a new area developed on the Monitor Rock with 5 new routes. The Bird's Nest is located just up and right of the TRAILHEAD WALL. This area has 5 new routes that require some gear and some bolts for protection. These pitches are very long in length and a 70m rope (or 2 ropes) is required for 3 out of the 5 routes. Getting ThereSame approach as for the start of the Mother Load, Momentary Lapse of Reason, or Temporary Change Season. Scramble up the ledges to the right of the start of the Trooper Traverse to gain the Mother Load Ledge. Traverse rightward on a thin, exposed ledge and then back up and left to gain this comfortable, grassy ledge I call THE BIRD'S NEST. A long needled pine grows from this ledge and there is a 2-bolt anchor for belays and descent at the end of the day.
