BETA PHOTO: The Batter Boulder north face topo
This small boulder is located at the start of the talus field. The problems are good, but the landings are bad, so take care to pad the base and have attentive spotters.
The south face of the boulder has a good technical problem on funky textured rock, while the west face gives all together different climbing.
Walk in to the campground and cross the first small stream using the fallen tree at Gong Show Wall
. Walk south and cross the larger stream again using a fallen tree.
Once over the river head south (left) and follow the trail close to the river. After about 60 yards you'll see Clearcut Boulder
on your right towards the talus field continue to this boulder and pass it. The Batter boulder is another 20 yards ahead.
