We took a group of Park District kids to this climb. The kids were all beginner climbers, between 10-13 yrs old. They had a great time on it and most were able to make it at least half way up and one topped out over the small overhang at the top. It's a fun climb for more expereinced climbers as well who are looking for something a little less challenging.

Great route for beginners. The ledge by the tree gives confidence to press on ahead to the small overhang. Jonathan (13), Maryann (12), and Stephen (9), all made it. It is any easy enough route to complete for them, mixed with the challenge of a small overhang. I rate it Excellent for new, or young climbers. John Stassen 9-25-02

A nice route. The blocky start and the tree will fool you into thinking this is a junk route, but it has both moves and gear.
