| Hey guys, if anyone is heading up on Hallet's Chimney, I have a couple comments: Although it is seems "fat" right now, there are numerous large objects that are pretty unstable. Most including some large snow mushroom and 'cicles. So watch where you put your belays. A shovel may have helped us in one location, which is never a good sign. If there was a good freeze (~20 degrees) this route would likely snap into shape, unfortunately, I am not seeing the lows up there getting anywhere cold enough to stop the dripping and partially freeze up some of the sketchy sugar snow that shut us down, as seen here: Otherwise the climbing up there is brilliant! Can't wait to go back some day! | FLAG |
