DescriptionHistorically known for great hiking and views of the Tennessee River, Pot Point also offers hundreds of great boulder problems. Recent discovery (2005) of the area's potential has opened another option for those looking for something new. Solid sandstone and a great variety of grades make this area a place for everyone. Getting ThereFrom Chattanooga: Hwy 27N from Downtown-Signal Mtn. exit towards Signal. Take left on Suck Creek Road (US27N) and follow up Suck Creek Canyon. Atop the Canyon follow brown signs for Prentice Cooper (2 left turns). Once inside the Prentice Cooper area, go 6.5 miles on Tower Road and take a left turn onto Davis Pond. Park at Davis Pond if roads are closed. Continue past pond and bear right at fork and go another 0.8 mile to obvious cul-de-sac. This pulloff is marked "P" on the map. From here, hike to Pot Point Trail for Sandtown area. For Alpha area, follow road another 0.2 miles and you'll see it on your right In Case of EmergencyEmergency: Cell phone reception has always been great at the Pot Point Boulders.
