Description Suggest change

Temple Rock is the westerly of the two crags directly below Hortencia's at the Cliffhanger and is separated from Sphinx Rock by a steep rocky gully which is descended to access the routes.

Three sub-areas are found here.

Inner Temple - the east face

Powermyd Wall - the south face

Royal Wall - the west face

  • Watch out for rattlesnakes in warmer weather!

Getting There Suggest change

Approach along the climber's trail and continue down the gully with some scrambling and down-climbing or access the summit and rap down from bolted anchors.

The approach takes 5-15 minutes depending upon the wall chosen and method used to get there.
