A collection of both bouldering and route climbing out on Telephone Road. The rock out here, especially the stuff out at Eagle Rock, is some of the best granite anywhere.

Getting There

This stuff is interspersed off along Telephone Road, which is to the north of the Happy Jack Highway and a few miles east of where the highway splits off the exit at the summit on I-80. There is an obvious sign for this road.

Climbing Season

For the Vedauwoo area.

Weather station 2.5 miles from here

There is also another problem called Thunderstorm Escape just left of this that is supposed to go at V4, according to the book. It is supposed to start at the same hueco but moves left instead of straight up. I have never been able to quite figure that one out. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in WY
