Description
Tatooine is a group of crags perched atop a small hill west of the Fairview Dry Lake in Northeast Apple Valley. The rock type is similar to that found at the Apple Valley Area.
Getting There
From Hwy 18: go north on Joshua Road, east on Cahuilla Road (dirt), north on Mountain View Lane (dirt). From here follow a network of dirt roads (stay on established roads) slightly further north and west into the valley where the crags are visible on top of the hill. A 4WD vehicle is recommended but an adventurous party could probably get a 2WD back there without much difficulty.
