Description This is the extension to Johnny Cat. Get a good rest by the chains to Johnny Cat. Then bust some steep liebacking moves to a backstepping stance below a box shaped groove. Jam up this on very small tips plus a key face hold. Interesting footwork here- look for a heel-toe in the box. Finally, jam dwindling tips to the anchor.
Location Above Johnny Cat
Protection One bigger cam at the start. One or two one inch after that. Then 3/4 inch and smaller to the chains.

| Tasmania is a totally classic route, particularly when coupled with the 4 star Johnny Cat. A great stance at the chains on JC makes combining the two not that big of a deal. This route needs more traffic considering how often JC gets done. It is very different for indian creek, steep with interesting footwork and real sequencing issues. You can still TR both with a 60M rope. Solid 5.12. |
