Description

Tahitian Rocks is a fairly large formation with only a few bolted routes. The climbing is on the West face, so it is shady and cool until the afternoon.

Getting There

From the main City of Rocks road, get on to the Circle Creek Overlook road. This junction is on the East side of the City. Drive to the end of this road, then park at the lot. Take a road/trail west from here. Trend left at a fence, staying on the main road. Follow this road as it curves towards the Tahitian rocks. This formation is a short walk north of the road after encountering a gated fence.

Bikini Candy 5.8 5b 16 VI- 15 HVS 4c  ID : City of Rocks : Tahitian Rocks
This is about as fun as a single pitch 5.8 sport route gets. This climbs the lowest piece of Tahitian Rock left of a significant boulder laying against the rock. The top accesses the gully that Bora Bora start in.Climb the bolt line with a crux right off the ground. After moving past the first bolt, this is wonderful steep 5.8 jug hauling....[more]   Browse More Classics in ID
