After climbing with a few people I've met on mp I think it would be nice to have a rating/feedback section for potential climbing partners. Something simple, like a 1-4 star rating and a "Would or would not climb with them again." Being able to provide public feedback would be nice. That way you wouldn't end up climbing with someone who might overstate their ability. Or if they are solid you could let other climbers know they are good to go.

You don't take your E-harmony match to meet your parents first date. You don't take the partner you just met on MP up anything you can't on-sight any day of the week. No need to make MP a cut-throat personality/ability gauntlet. Something as subjective as climbing partners will be undeservedly biased by the prejudices of the rater.
Personality and goals are way too subjective to be truly meaningful for a sport like climbing, no need to smear/praise those whose personal objectives might cause discomfort and/or stoke.
If you're bummed, don't call. If you're stoked, call 'em back.
Take a chance and judge for yourself. You're a climber!

yawn... just another bit of evidence showing that most mountainprodge users want the site to find them partners, get them to the crag, hold their hand, and wipe their asses for them. camhead
