| Was at Sugarloaf Friday, sunny and 65...and no snowshoes or skins even close to necessary. You walk through 20' of 2" deep packed snow. Went to Woodfords yesterday, sunny and near 50 at the base of the Fortress and in the 2nd Alcove. There will be some slight snow wallowing down low, not bad though. Take a more climber's slight left approach straight up the hill from the parking lot (should be footprints) rather than the standard climbers' left up that dirt ridge to avoid some of the snow, but there will be some wallowing. Not anything requiring snowshoes or skins, though. Rock at both Woodfords and Sugarloaf is dry. Get out there and enjoy! Weston | FLAG |
