Blind, hard to read face climbing. Typical of POB. Thins out as it gets higher.

This is a route by Keith Reed and me and we've always maintained it's no less than a hard 10, so this is a sandbag alert to those who are using Jimmy's online guide or referring to Scott's more realistic but still conservative 10b/c as offered above. This is one of those routes at POB that seems to have variable difficulty according to atmospheric conditions, phase of the moon, etc. and climbers we all know and respect (to varying degrees-ha!) have graded it anywhere from 10a to 11a immediately after climbing it. Mario whipped off it twice last weekend before tweeking it out and he climbs for a living. Whatever, it's a worthy route and the pro is good so have at it and weigh in with your own grade. Mine is "PGDH for an old f#%&*er." The present consensus among the dozen or so folks who have done it recently is about 10c/d. I hope you walk it but on the other hand be prepared for it to hand you your butt.
