Description
A secluded dihedral area that faces south (and east). The area is rarely visited, but well worth checking out. It goes in the shade around 2:30 pm and provides excellent evening cragging on sunny spring or fall days...summer is probably too hot for most. The rock is similar to the book of condolences area- its muddy limestone that formed when millennia worth of surficial algae blooms died and settled to the bottom of the "pond". It's great fun to climb on, and provides a huge variety of features, but its far from perfect stone.
Getting There
Approach as for Red Cornets and then Book of Condolences, and then head uphill and west from the base of Sister Ray on the talus. Catch a trail west, through scrub oak and up and down some more talus for about 300 feet or so. You'll know you're there when you find the flat area at the base of a wide corner crack. Two bolted routes are found to the left of the off-width corner, and 3 bolted lines are found to the right of the corner.
