Description Suggest change

This area is another series of walls approximately 200 feet to the left (up river) of Skink Rock. When standing at Skink it appears the cliffband ends in a jutting point of rock but if you walk around that point and a bit further you will see the cliffs continue. Unlike Skink, it is more a jumble of bouldery gullies and sheer corners capped by overhangs. The far up-river end of the cliff is sometimes the home to peregrine falcon nesting boxes put in place by the NPS. If you go here and see the boxes, please move on to another area. The boxes won't last forever and Harpers Ferry has tons of other rock to climb.

Getting There Suggest change

This area is best approached the same as Skink Rock. When standing at the base of Skink Rock continue hiking left (up-stream) to access these cliffs. Skink Rock is best approached from the main viewpoints above Maryland Heights.
